Terminal at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport

The airport has two buildings – one for domestic terminal and one for international terminal.

International terminal

The international terminal is situated in a building with two levels, with the arrivals and baggage claim area on the ground floor and the departures area on the upper floor. The ground floor features a modest and spacious baggage claim area, customs, immigration, and quarantine facilities. The area is equipped with baggage handling systems, ensuring that luggage is delivered to passengers in a timely and efficient manner.

The upper floor of the terminal building is dedicated to the departures area and is designed to provide passengers with a comfortable and convenient experience. The departures area features numerous check-in counters, airline offices, duty-free shops, restaurants, and cafes. Passengers can relax and enjoy a meal or a cup of coffee while waiting for their flight. Shopping facilities at the airport include duty-free shops, souvenir shops, and convenience stores. The duty-free shops offer a small range of tax-free goods, including perfumes, cosmetics, electronics, and alcoholic beverages.

Domestic terminal

The domestic terminal is situated at a small building and is on the left-hand site of the airport. It has one level which handle both departure and arrival. The right side of the building is used for checking in, security and boarding. The left side is used for arrival and receiving luggage. There is a upper floor, which has an waiting are and lounges. During rush hour, the domestic departure terminal could become very congested full of passengers waiting for their plane.

There is a small snacks bar in the domestic terminal for the passanger. In addition, there are lounges.
